Happy Lie or Miserable Truth? | Hypothetical Question

After a week of filling my stomach full of pie, ham and mashed potatoes, I am ready to get back into the swing of things.  As I try to figure out which fitness plan will be best to burn off all the extra calories I have gained over Thanksgiving week, lets ponder over a hypothetical question/scenario.

I have always been someone who loves to ask questions that are outside-the-box…pondering a “New Thought”, trying to figure out the best solution.  Analyzing both sides and possibilities of a situation is important, not only when it comes to hypothetical questions, but to real life circumstances as well.

Anyways, here is a hypothetical question to think about over the week:

Is it better for someone to be happy, while living in a lie

or…

Is it better for someone to be miserable, while living in the truth?

This is a hypothetical question that has been asked by many people.  How much do you value the truth?  How much do you value happiness?  Contentment?  Freedom?  There are a lot of questions that can be asked with this simple hypothetical.  I’ve got my own personal conclusion on this question, but what say you?  Which situation is better and why?  Put your answers in the comment section below, and if you have any suggestions for future hypothetical questions, and puzzles, I would be glad to hear your thoughts!
